This month, 5th graders worked with SPARK Business Academy to increase their financial literacy and business sense during the annual "Young Entrepreneurs" project day. The day started with students reflecting on their skills and interests and learning how to draft a resume. Next, they worked together in groups to identify a potential business and develop a business plan from the ground up. This involved group members collaborating on designing logos, drafting slogans, and creating marketing flyers. 5th graders learned important formulas for how to make financial projections. Lastly, students came together as a community for groups to communicate their business plans to peers and teachers and obtain valuable feedback.
